Western United vs Adelaide United Match Preview

Western United is ranked at the 5th place with 20 points and is having a very good season considering they are newcomers to the A League. They come after two wins, a draw and two losses in the last five matches and if they would manage to keep this playoff spot until the end, it would be quite an achievement. They have scored 20 goals in 14 games and at their home have managed to score at least a goal in six out of eight games so far. Their main striker Berisha is once again proving to be one of the most prolific strikers in the A-League with 9 goals so far.

Adelaide United, on the other hand, is ranked at the 7th place with 18 points and comes in a very bad form after a single win and four losses in the last five matches. This caused them to drop from the playoff zone and now they have a game they need to avoid losing at all costs. They have scored 20 goals in 13 games so far and on the road they managed to score at least a goal in five out of six games. A team that won the FFA Cup before the league started, surely are expected to do better and anytime I think Adelaide should turn around their results.

In conclusion, I think both teams can score a goal here. Western United has been more than a decent team this season and the fact they play at home should give them the needed boost. Adelaide is a team built at least for the playoff, so I really think they can do better than this.
