Wigan Athletic - West Brom Match Preview

Wigan lost 2-1 to Luton Town, being their 8th consecutive game without a single win. Despite opening the scoreline and reaching the first half being ahead, in the second half they paid their passive play, conceding two goals. They are now placed into the relegation zone and if they win tonight they will put an end on their losing streak as well as reaching a safer place on the table. Goalkeeper Marshall, as well as center backs Fox and Williams, remain injured. Dunkley is suspended as he was red carded in his last match.

Another win for West Brom last weekend, which came in an impressive way over Swansea winning 5-1. They prevailed on the field and they could have easily scored even more goals. This was the 6th consecutive win for West Brom who are first-placed in the Championship table, two points above second-placed Leeds. Most important, though, is that they have a 10-points difference from Fulham and Bristol City that are placed third, having already played their 21st match in the Championship. There are no reports of injuries or suspensions for the guests.

West Brom have scored 41 goals in 20 games so far having the best attack in the league. On the other hand, Wigan are easily conceding goals, especially on their 7 most recent games with two or more goals in each one. I expect West Brom to prevail in this one, anything other than this will be a big surprise for me.
