Without compromise

Lanus finished on the 11th place of the table of the Argentinian Superliga, so they didn't qualify for next season's Copa Sudamericana. However, when Luis Subeldia took charge they seemed to have a chance to reach their goal. The 4-0 loss in the last round at their current opponent's home actually ended their hopes for a top-nine spot. In the previous round of Copa de la Superliga they suffered a 3-2 loss to Cordoba in Belgrano for the first leg, but they managed to make the overturn and qualify in the second leg by winning 2-0 at their home. Marco Torsiglieri is 100% fit, as well as attacker Sebastian Ribas. Both will start tonight.

Velez finished on the 6th place of the Argentinian Superliga and got a ticket for the next Copa Sudamericana. Their journey was quite stable during the season. In the last round of the League, Velez had the upper hand and formed an impressive win vs 4-0 vs Lanus leaving them out of the top-nine. Winger Hernan De La Fuente is again in the contention.

Lanus have the home advantage. They will try to make the first step for their qualification to the semi-finals, the second leg in José Amalfitani won't be easy for them. Velez have no stress and that's an advantage for them. I expect both teams to score here.
