Wolves vs Brighton Match Preview

Wolves is ranked at 8th place with 49 points and comes after two wins and three losses over the last five matches. It has been a strange period for them as they have been playing good football but the results are not coming. Ιn both games against Newcastle and Burnley they had more possession than their rivals but still failed to score a single goal. Currently, they sit three points behind West Ham and in case of a win here could grab the 7th place which means a spot in the UEFA Conference League for next season.

At home, they have won three of the last five matches and if it wasn't for that surprising loss against Leeds they would have a better record. The good news is that probably Ruben Neves recovered from his injury and could get some minutes in the second half, they have really missed him in the last games.

Brighton, on the other hand, is ranked at 11th place with 41 points and comes after two wins two draws and a loss over the last five matches. It has been a good run for them which definitely got them into the safe zone from relegation as they sit 12 points above Everton of the 18th place.

On the road, they have been pretty average, winning only 6 out of 17 matches in total, having won two of the last five. Their problem has been their offensive side as with 31 goals they have one of the worst attacks in the league. Having no real motivation for the remaining games it is going to be difficult for them to perform any better than they have done so far which makes me doubt about the outcome of this duel.

In conclusion, I think Wolves can win or draw this match. They are a better team with more quality players and despite not having the season they expected to have, I still fancy them to be able to earn a ticket for the next season's European competitions Brighton does not have a great attack like I mentioned before and having to play against the 4th best defense in the league will not help them for sure.
