Wolves vs Olympiakos Piraeus Match Preview

In this 2nd leg of the last 16 in the Europa League, Wolves face Olympiakos Piraeus. The first leg ended 1-1.

Wolves finished 7th in the Premier League with 59 points, but Arsenal succeeded in the FA Cup, something that did not allow Wolves to participate in the next season's European competitions. Their only hope for them now if they want to play in the next season's European competitions is to win the Europa League trophy, and to do this they must first exclude Olympiacos. 

In the first leg played back in March in Faliro, Wolves took a 1-1 draw. They conceded first the 54th minute, even if the hosts were playing with a man less in the pitch, however, they managed to equalize at the 67th minute of the game.

Olympiakos had a great season, as they were crowned champions in the Greek Super League, with just one defeat after a total of 36 rounds! At the same time, they qualified in the Cup final, showing their superiority this year in the domestic competitions.

In the Europa League, Olympiakos had an excellent run as well, while in the previous round, they knocked Arsenal out of the competition, despite the home defeat in the first round.

In the first leg, back in March, Olympiakos played a draw, even if they were playing with a man less since early in the game. This outcome gives opportunities for both sides in this second leg.

I expect a close game, as was the first one, since these two teams are pretty much equal in general. Wolves left Greece with the result they wanted, but this match will be held behind closed doors, so the home advantage is rather slight. On the other hand, Olympiakos showed this season what they are capable to win every match, even if playing at home or away. BTTS: Yes is my call for this one.
