Zenit vs CSKA Moscow

Zenit seems to have improved compared to their performance at the start of the season. They managed to step up at the top of the table, just before the end of the first half of the Russian Premier League. In their most recent game against Krilia at home, they won by scoring a goal on each half. Based on their image and performance, they could have easily scored more goals. Malcom and defender Mammana remain unavailable for this one, as they are still suffering from injuries.

On the other hand, CSKA Moscow goes from bad to worse. In their most recent game, they were defeated at home 1-0, from their local rivals Dinamo Moscow. After this outcome, they are still 5th-place on the table, however their difference from their current opponent raised to 6 points. At the same time, after their home defeat from Ferencvaros for the Europa League group stage, CSKA Moscow lost their last hopes for qualification, due to their poor performance with a total of 3 defeats in equal number games. Striker Efremov and defender Vasin are not available, as they are still suffering from injuries.

Zenit clearly have the quality on their side, and despite the upcoming Champions League matchup against Leipzig, I think they will get through easily against CSKA Moscow. The home win is my call.
