Betis vs Elche Match Preview

In the previous round, Betis failed to take a positive result against Atletico Madrid. Despite their effort in the first half to open the scoreline, Atletico Madrid showed their quality difference scoring two goals in the second half, securing all three points. In fact, this was their 4th defeat in the last 5 rounds, and as a result, they are sitting low in the standings, at 11th place with 9 points after 7 rounds in the Spanish La Liga.

There are a lot of missings for Pellegrini's team, defenders Martin Montoya, Sidnei, midfielder Guardado, as well as the striker Juanmi remain unavailable for today's match.

Elche took their 2nd consecutive win in the previous round against Valencia by 2-1, reaching the 7th place of the standings having 10 points in total, after 5 rounds played in La Liga. It's a big surprise for everyone, watching a team like Elche performing like that, considering that they were promoted late August after the playoffs. 

The most significant missing for the newcomers is the Argentinian striker G. Carrillo, who, apparently, has performed only a few minutes so far since the begining of the season.

Betis' appearances were not that bad so far in the league, but unfortunately for them, they couldn't collect many points. However, I don't agree with Betis being the huge favorites in this one. Elche has a huge motivation boost in the recent matches, having their ever best record in their beginning of La Liga (3-1-1).

The offering odds for Elche to win are massive, the away win is my call in this one.
