Different paths

The abandoned match between Kilmarnock and Motherwell will take place on Saturday, 2 March. The Kick off at Rugby Park will be at 3pm local time.

Kilmarnock's Scottish Premiership game with Motherwell had to be abandoned because of heavy fog. Both clubs will meet today to discuss a new date for the match.

Kilmarnock's performance is still disappointing. Last weekend they suffered their third consecutive away loss for the Premiership vs mediocre Livingstone (1-0) and now they've completed 7 games without a single win in all competitions. Just before that, Rangers humiliated them 5-0 in a game for the Scottish Cup. It's more than obvious that Steve Clarke has to make some improvements if he wants his team to fight for a European ticket, as they are still in the top-six spots that lead to championship playoffs. 

Motherwell started 2019 in a quite impressive way. Despite the fact that in the first match of the year they were eliminated from the Cup with a 1-2 loss vs Ross County, Stephen Robinson's team continued in a completely different pace. They registered 5 wins in a row for the Premiership, until last Saturday when they suffered a rather expected 4-1 loss in Glasgow vs defending Champions Celtic. Due to this streak, they almost secured their participation in next year's Premiership and their participation at championship playoffs seems to be a realistic goal, as they are sitting just two points below the top-six. 

These two teams have taken a completely different path. Kilmarnock registered only one win in their last 6 games for the Premiership (1-0-5), compared to Motherwell who registered 5 wins at the same time (5-0-1). The offered odds do not say the truth compared with the teams' recent form and its worth betting on the guests. Motherwell to win.
