England vs USA Match Preview

England will be playing against USA in the second round of Group B. 

England started their World Cup campaign with a thumping win against Iran. They were so good and even though Iran is a weak team, a 6-2 win is definitely a good start seeing how the underdogs are performing in this tournament (Saudia beat Argentina). England played with almost the same squad they played in Euro 2020 but Phillips was replaced by Bellingham as Phillips has no significant playing time this season. 

England would most probably play with the same squad, but Maguire is the only player who will not be starting because he picked up an injury in the opening game. England's manager Southgate has faced a lot of criticism in the past and he has to prove himself by driving England to at least another semi-final or maybe more. 

The USA drew their first game against Wales. They were dominating the whole of the first half but Wales did well in the second half. The USA remains winless in the last four games played across all competitions. 

The main player for the USA is Pulisic who plays for Chelsea. He would be a big danger for England, especially for their right-back Trippier.

The last head-to-head meeting between these sides ended in England winning by three goals to nil. I predict England to lead at the break.
