Mezokovesd-Zsory vs Honved Match Preview

Mezokovesd remains winless after the resumption of OTP Bank Liga and the Cup in Hungy. They played a 1-1 draw in the previous round against Kiswarda, despite that the away team was playing with ten players in the last minutes of the match. This was their 6th consecutive game without a win, including the Cup final where they lost 2-1 to their current opponent. Apart from the cup, Mezokovesd essentially lost any hope for the second place in the league, as they are currently 9 points away from second-placed Ferencvaros.

On the other hand, Honved managed to take a 1-1 draw against Ferencvaros in the previous round. Having a 7-point distance from the relegation zone, Honved is quite safe, but they will need some points more in order to become more relaxed in the last games of the season.

It seems like a much more close match than the odds are showing (1.80-4.40). Ten days ago Honved prevailed over Mezokovesd in the Cup final, and certainly this gives them an extra boost for tonight's game. In addition, Honved has won in the last 5 of 6 league matches against Mezokovesd on the road since 2017. I expect that they will continue this trend tonight. The away win is my call!
