Morocco vs Portugal Match Preview

Morocco and Portugal will play this match in the quarterfinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Morocco won against Spain and that was a huge win for them as they made the biggest upset so far, against one of the favorites of the tournament. They won on penalties, having played really good defense in the whole match. They will need another defensive performance like that in this match because Portugal's attack is dangerous. They showed that in their last match against Switzerland.

Portugal demolished 6-1 Switzerland, something that was a rather unexpected outcome because Switzerland is one of the best teams in Europe in recent years. They have a really solid defense but their early goal was a big advantage in that game. Cristiano Ronaldo started from the bench which was a huge risk for their coach but his replacement, Ramos, displayed one of the best performances in this FIFA World Cup netting three goals.

Portugal is the favorite in this match but Morocco showed that they can cope against favorites playing really good defense. They did that against three mighty European teams, Croatia, Belgium, and Spain, and I believe they could play a similar game here. I expect both teams to be cautious in a match that will end with no more than 2 goals.
