They were superior throughout the match, yet in the first half they were not only unable to take advantage of the opportunities but found themselves behind in the score. In the replay, however, they were accurate and by scoring 3 times turned the game around and got a valuable victory.

Thus, Newcastle remains in 3rd place in the Premier League with 65 points, 2 more than 4th placed Manchester United and 3 from 5th Liverpool in the battle for the group tickets of the next Champions League.

Back to success for Arsenal after 4 matches, in midweek they had no trouble beating Chelsea 3-1.They entered the match impressively and within a few minutes scored 3 times and practically secured the three points early and easily. Then slowed down and all Chelsea managed to do was score the goal of honor in the second half.

With this victory, Arsenal reached 78 points, now they are in 2nd place, minus 4 from the leader Manchester City and are in an outsider position in the battle for the title.

I expect a very interesting match, on the one hand Newcastle who want the three points to establish themselves in the top four, on the other hand Arsenal who with a win will get closer to first placed City.
