Portugal vs Switzerland Match Preview

Portugal and Switzerland are playing in this knock-out game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Portugal won their group against Uruguay, South Korea, and Ghana. They won the first two matches without a lot of problems but then lost to South Korea in a match where they rested some main players but, still, they had a strong squad in the field featuring Leao, Ronaldo etc. Portugal under Santos is really dangerous in the knockout stage of big tournaments and they are favorites here.

Switzerland had a big game against Serbia which they won. It was a really exciting game but Serbia played terribly in defense and that is something that Switzerland exploited. Portugal will not have that kind of defensive issues, actually, they are really solid in defense so it will be harder for Switzerland. 

These two teams know each other really well, they have played a lot recently. I believe it will be a close game and neither team will be clearly better than the other. Although Portugal has a really strong and talented squad, they fancy playing more defensively oriented and I expect a game with a small number of goals as from the start a really cautious approach from both sides is the most probable scenario.
