Tempting odds

Kilmarnock seem to be in an exceptional form lately, actually they have just one defeat (6-2-1) in their last nine Premiership games. In their last league game, back in 2018, they had a pretty easy win vs St Mirren (2-1), in a game that their winning margin could have been wider. In their first 2019 game, a game for the FA Cup, Kilmarnock easily outclassed Forfar, a League One side, playing with a full rotated squad. Experienced central defender K.Broadfoot is not 100% fit, it seems that he will miss another game.

It was the first Rangers win over Celtic after almost 5 years. The 'Gers'' were clearly better than their rivals and got an important win that allowed them to reach the top of the league before the winter break, sharing the first place with Celtic. Their midweek cup game vs Cowdenbeath was postponed due to weather conditions, so tonight they are performing for their first time in 2019. The visitors could not count on midfielders G.Dorrans, R.Kent and attacker J.Murphy. Veteran striker Jermain Defoe came on loan from Bornmouth, as well as the captain of the Northern Ireland national team Steven Davis, who returned to Glascow after 7 years, this time on loan from Southampton.

This game comes in a decent moment for Kilmarnock, having the chance to stay in the title contention; actually, they can even reach the top of the league, if Celtic fail to win St Mirren (a not so possible scenario). Both teams target the three-pointer here and I am quite surprised by the odds offered. It’s a battle between two teams having just a point difference (3rd vs 2nd), but the home team could be backed in the massive 5.85 odds! I will not miss this chance; Kilmarnock to win is my call.
